This was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. From 1st class food and accommodations to amazing guides and a wonderful group to travel with. Jodye took care of all of us and made us all feel so welcome. She is top shelf all the way! - Scott D.
You might love this trip if...
You want to see the bucket-list places without feeling rushed.
You care as much about the food, culture and people as you do the sights.
You love a little adventure, but also appreciate comfort, beautiful places to stay and time to slow down.
You like having incredible experiences planned for you, with enough free time to wander and do your own thing.
You’re traveling solo, with a friend or with a partner and love the idea of sharing the experience with a small, welcoming group.
Frequently asked Questions
Can I come by myself?
Absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo, while others come with a friend, partner or family member. You don’t need to bring someone with you to feel like you belong. Small groups make it easy to get to know one another, and by the end of the week, it usually feels like you’ve been traveling with friends.
How active is this trip?
This is an active trip, but you don’t need to be an athlete. We’ll walk on uneven streets, explore archaeological sites and spend time at higher elevations. We always have two guides with our group, so there’s flexibility to move at different paces. Some experiences are more physically demanding than others, and whenever possible, you can choose the option that works best for you.
What about the altitude?
Cusco and parts of the Sacred Valley are at high elevation, and we’ve designed the itinerary to give you time to acclimate before heading to higher elevations. We take our time, stay hydrated and always have two guides with our group so you can move at your own pace. If you have concerns about traveling at altitude, we recommend talking with your healthcare provider before the trip.
Do I have to hike Rainbow Mountain?
No. One of the things I love about this day is that there are different ways to experience it. Depending on current availability and conditions, options may include hiking, horseback riding or motorbike. Some guests decide to enjoy their final day in Cusco instead. Our hotel's spa is wonderful!
What is included in the trip price?
Your trip includes beautiful accommodations, many meals, private local guides, transportation within Peru during the trip, entrance fees and the experiences described in the itinerary, including Machu Picchu, the Vistadome train, our cooking class, gourmet picnic, Mountainview Experience and more. For the complete list of inclusions, download the trip brochure.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Usually, yes. Peru has wonderful food, and we work with our hotels, restaurants and other partners to accommodate dietary needs whenever possible. Let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when you book. I am happy to chat about this pre-booking. Please feel free to email me at Hello@KulaAdventures.com.
How do payment plans work?
You’ll reserve your spot with a deposit, and the remaining balance is divided into monthly payments, with the final payment due three months before the trip. Your exact payment schedule will be shown when you book through our booking platform called WeTravel.
What is the cancellation policy
We know plans can change. Your deposit is non-refundable, and additional payments become non-refundable according to our cancellation schedule. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your investment.
